Frozen Fruit Salad is a little like ice cream, just as tasty but healthier and very popular with children. After you have made it once, your family will want it again and again.
Our fruit salad are really just recipes to get you started. Most fruits will go well together and most fruits are low in calories although you should be careful with bananas, avocados and mangos as they tend to be a bit higher in the calorie count.
Nuts such as hazelnuts and almonds are great mixed in with fruit, as is shredded coconut which is just made for salads. Don't forget nutmeg and cinnamon especially for fruit such as apples and pears. A teaspoon or two of honey is a great addition for anyone who has a really sweet tooth. For something seriously delicious, try adding marshmallows as we have done in our Frozen Fruit Salad.
